Job Description Outcomes The Vehicle Sales Representative is the primary interface between the customer and the dealership. It is their responsibility to ensure that the customer receives a consultative sales experience that will result in the sale of a vehicle and exceed the customers expectations. Your effective implementation of our sales process along with your ability to work with customers and management will result in customer loyalty and ongoing income growth for yourself and the dealership. This success will be reflected in your Sales Satisfaction Scores and your pay check. Specific Responsibilities * Achieve and maintain Manufacturers Professional Sales Certification Standards. * Attend coaching and training sessions as required by management. * Maintaining Provincial Automotive Sale Certification. * Understanding and implementing our internal sales processes to ensure complete customer satisfaction. * Understanding how to present various purchase options such as, traditional finance, leasing and delayed payment plans. * Attend all sales meetings. * Creating clearly defined purchase offers with all necessary details for the managers to understand the customer and how to present price and payment options. * To negotiate with a win/win approach. * To represent the Dealership with integrity throughout the sales process. * To introduce the Customer to the Financial Services Department upon agreement and closing of the deal as per our process. * Ensuring all vehicles you sell are properly prepared for delivery, with all work completed at least one hour before delivery time. * Completion of the New Vehicle Delivery Form at time of delivery. * Ensure that the customer is given a tour of our dealership. * To follow up with all sold and unsold customers on a timely basis as specified in our Dealership Sales Process. * Helping to maintain displayed inventory in an attractive and orderly manner. * Notify the Sales Manager of any lot damage observed. * Completing equipment swap records promptly. * Tagging keys of incoming vehicles for inventory purposes. * Removing any trade vehicles from the front of the building when delivery is complete. * Staying up to date with all tier one and two advertising. * Walking the lot on a daily basis to keep abreast of incoming inventory. * Completing follow up calls after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction. * Documenting any outstanding issues that may interfere with customer satisfaction. * Be willing to help other sales representatives customers as your own when they are off shift. * Completing vehicle searches and dealer transfers when necessary, to obtain the correct vehicle for the customer. * Learning to use all computer software systems, including training, price and vehicle data guides. * Maintaining a professional appearance personally and in work area. Skills * Excellent verbal skills. * Excellent listening skills. * Accuracy in paper work. * Basic math skills. * Strong computer skills including the use of email, and specialized software. * Excellent time management. * Win/Win negotiation and closing skills. Education * Minimum Grade Twelve Graduation. * Preferred Graduation from a recognized College, University or Technical School.
